Communication Infrastructure

Power amplifiers, controller boards and components are key elements to overall functioning of base stations in today's wireless communication networks. Electrical performance and high power management are often the deciding factors in the selection of materials for these applications. Rogers RO3000 and RO4000 series high frequency laminates and high frequency circuit materials have proven properties that design engineers need to develop more advanced systems, yet are also cost effective. Tight control of dielectric constant, low loss performance, and above all high thermal conductivity have made these products the best choice among products on the market.

Antennas using RF/microwave materials can be found in base station networks, bluetooth systems, RFID readers and satellite radio receivers. Although there is wide variation among systems where these antennas operate, they all require several key material properties. Antenna materials require good control of dielectric constant and low loss. Rogers RO3000® series products and our RO3730™ antenna grade laminates for high volume applications deliver the best electrical performance of all commercial products. Our RO4500™ series and RO4730™ LoPro™ antenna grade laminates for high volume applications, offers the most cost effective solutions. Excellent cost benefit and worldwide availability make Rogers a preferred supplier in the communications infrastructure industry.

SquareRO3000®, RO3200™series and RO3730™ High Frequency Laminates (PTFE/Ceramic)
Some Typical Applications: automotive collision avoidance systems, automotive global positioning satellite antennas, cellular and pager telecommunication systems, patch antennas for wireless communications, direct broadcast satellites, datalink on cable systems, remote meter readers, power backplanes.

Introducing our RO3730 Antenna Grade materials offering low PIM and lower cost for high volume antenna applications.

SquareRO4000® Series High Frequency Circuit Materials (Woven glass reinforced, ceramic filled thermoset)
Some Typical Applications: LNB for direct broadcast satellites, cellular base station antennas and power amplifiers, spread spectrum communications systems, RF identification tags, automated test equipment, high speed backplanes and line cards, high frequency automotive electronics.

RO4360™ high frequency material offers the same repeatability and reliability as our RO4000 materials with the added benefit of a higher DK of 6.15. This will allow circuit designers to reduce circuit dimensions in applications where size and cost are critical such as power amplifiers, patch antennas, ground-based radar and other general RF applications.
