Rogers Employee Management Philosophy
Managers and Supervisors will strive to continuously enhance positive employee relations and thereby improve the effectiveness of Rogers Corporation by practicing these management principals:
- Hire and develop employees who will upgrade the talent within the organization and meet present and future growth needs.
- Set and maintain high standards of performance and inform employees on a timely basis when they are and when they are not meeting the standards.
- Provide adequate and specific help to ensure employees perform satisfactorily. This means providing proper direction, arranging for training, supplying the necessary resources, maintaining a safe working environment, and removing barriers to performance.
- Develop the full potential of all employees, and thereby encourage their full involvement and commitment to our goals.
- Treat all employees with dignity, honesty and respect - regarding them as responsible adults.
- Act and communicate with consistency, fairness, and careful attention to detail in all employee matters.
- Create employee expectations that are realistic, avoiding unnecessary morale problems.
- Improve employees' skills in handling interpersonal relations, for this is the basis of effective teamwork.
- Make employee decisions with a proper regard for the delicate balance between individual and organizational needs.
- Promote the easy flow of communications in all directions, and emphasize the timely and appropriate response by all levels of management.
- Enhance organizational effectiveness by promoting teamwork among groups and work units.
- Arrange for the timely planning and defining of organizational structures and future staffing to ensure Rogers' strength and continuity.
- Utilize reward systems that appropriately recognize employees for their contributions.
