Today’s customers demand increased performance across the board, from industrial enclosures to automobiles. Mechanical parts and sensitive electronics are increasingly subjected to demanding conditions. They must be protected from wide temperature ranges, shock, weather rudiments, dirt, debris, oil, and NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). Suitable enclosures, such as robust undercarriage and under hood systems, reduce exposure and encase components for easy servicing. PORON® Industrial Urethanes are designed to prevent wear and keep the components of these systems secure.

Vibration Isolation & Noise Reduction

Friction and impact often result in vibration and noise. This produces wear and reduces the perceived quality of a product. Components subjected to these conditions need to be packaged using gap fillers, spacers, and bin liners to absorb internal impact energy. PORON® Urethane Foams provide excellent resistance to compression set (collapse), and exhibit high resiliency, good vibration damping, and impact absorption. This extends the life of the product by continuing to seal and absorbing shock.

Wide Range of Materials

PORON® Urethane Foams are available in a range of firmnesses and thicknesses for a wide variety of applications, from gas tank strap spacers to compartment and console bin liners. Many PORON Urethane foams meet the flammability requirements of UL HBF and MVSS 302.
