Rogers, CT, June 11, 2010 - Rogers Corporation (Booth #56) will exhibit a broad line of cushion mounting products for corrugated printing applications at the 2010 ACCCSA (Corrugator Association of Caribbean, Central and South America) International Convention & Exposition, from July 18-21 in San Jose, Costa Rica. The Rogers R/bak^® product line includes R/bak SF, SS, U and U1A plate mounting materials for flexography printing applications.

At the heart of the R/bak mounting system is an advanced microcellular urethane with an open cell construction. The material offers exceptional energy absorption and resiliency, acting as a pressure reducer and shock absorber for flexographic plates. R/bak material enables printers to improve registration, reduce dot gain, decrease plate deformation, maintain ink density, and use finer screens for fine-line work.

The Rogers R/bak family of products includes:

• R/bak S (Supported) plate cushions and carriers -- This polyester film-reinforced family of R/bak products doubles as a plate carrier and cushion. Mechanical or magnetic mounting hardware is easily attached by most conventional methods. The standard of the corrugated printing market, R/bak S is available in two hardnesses: R/bak SF (firm) and R/bak SS (soft).
• R/bak U (Unsupported) cushion -- Designed for general-purpose use, this high-quality cushion is known for its flexibility. Recommended for cylinder build-up, spot cushioning and spot coating. Also available with a single-sided acrylic adhesive to create a custom cushion product (U1A). R/bak U is a pliable material that can be cut, shaped and mounted to very small diameter cylinders
