Employee Engagement

At Rogers, we actively promote a culture where our highest priority is to “live safely.” All of our employees, regardless of role, take part in safety initiatives in order to eliminate injuries. We believe that this level of employee involvement lowers injury rates and fosters a safer workplace and employee accountability.

Equipment Safety

Equipment safety is a high priority at Rogers Corporation. We utilize a structured approach to managing environmental, health and safety risks associated with new installations of processes and equipment. We require all Rogers Corporation manufacturing and R&D facilities to conduct Project EHS Reviews to ensure that all equipment and processes are reviewed for EHS risks. These reviews must be completed both before purchase or major modification and prior to installation or conversion to manufacturing or R&D.

Guiding Principles

The following set of principles guides all of our efforts to protect and improve employee safety and preserve our environment. We aim to:

  • Meet or exceed applicable environmental, health, and safety compliance requirements and verify performance through periodic audits.
  • Where regulatory requirements do not incorporate best management practices, Rogers will utilize its own environmental, health, and safety standards that provide safeguards for the community, the workplace, and the environment while also providing flexibility to meet the needs of our business.
  • Promote a healthy and safe workplace, free of occupational injuries and illness by emphasizing individual responsibility for safety by all employees and supported at all levels of management.
  • Proactively work with our contractors, vendors, and suppliers to promote their adoption of, and adherence to, effective environmental, health, and safety practices.
  • Communicate environmental, health, and safety policies, programs and issues to Rogers’ employees and stakeholders.
  • Design, install, and operate our manufacturing processes to maximize workplace safety, conserve natural resources, and protect the environment.
  • Work to develop products that consume fewer natural resources and raw materials; and processes that minimize pollution throughout the product life cycle from design and manufacture to customer use and end-of-life disposal.
  • Ensure all employees are cognizant of their critical role and responsibilities in fulfilling the objectives of Rogers’ Environmental, Health, and Safety Policy.
  • Seek to motivate the personal engagement of all employees in Environmental, Health, and Safety activities.
