Bruce HoechnerAs a global manufacturer of critical materials for essential industries, Rogers is addressing the implications of COVID-19 at all of our locations around the world. We are presently maintaining business continuity, while prioritizing the safety of our dedicated employees who have made Rogers a trusted supplier for over 185 years.

Our Rogers China team has done an outstanding job managing through this crisis. Our Suzhou factories resumed production on February 10 and are now fully operational. Now, our European, S. Korean and U.S. teams are managing through the spread of the virus, leveraging lessons learned in China.

Our leadership philosophy is that, while business continuity is vital, the health and well-being of Rogers employees is our highest priority. Over the past two months, we have been escalating safety precautions such as expanding our travel ban, increasing disinfection protocols in our facilities, practicing social distancing in our plants and implementing work from home policies. In addition, Rogers is extending greater flexibility in our attendance policy and providing monetary support for employees to care for primary dependents, including childcare coverage.

We are balancing this abundance of caution with our commitment to business continuity for our global customers. Across our global facilities, we have implemented contingency plans as needed to minimize disruption to customers. Our customer service teams are committed to quickly communicating with customers to ensure timely information sharing. Similarly, our global supply chain team is in close contact with our valued suppliers to address any materials or service impacts related to our manufacturing and shipping.

For our communities, Rogers is proud to support critical infrastructure that is helping the world confront this challenge. Our Elastomeric Material Solutions team produces materials used in COVID-19 test kits for the medical field. As many organizations are leaning more heavily on remote work environments, our Advanced Connectivity Solutions enable wired and wireless technologies that are critical to constant connectivity. Additionally, our Power Electronics Solutions materials are used in power modules that run commercial and consumer refrigerators, which are vital to preserving perishable food items.

I want to thank our incredibly dedicated Rogers employees for their focus and determination. They are moving Rogers forward despite the significant disruptions to their personal lives.

To all our constituents, I wish you good health. Please, stay safe and exercise every precaution to protect our at-risk global population. We’re all in this together.
