During the holidays, employees participate in annual end-of-the-year charitable activities benefiting their local communities. Though the end of 2019 seemed to pass by quickly, global Rogers Corporation employees found time to maintain this tradition.

Work-life balance is a popular subject. Companies can tend to focus more on the work side of the scale, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t interested in balance for their employees. Like Rogers, many companies are placing more emphasis on a culture that encourages the appropriate work-life balance.
As the year comes to an end, holiday travel begins to increase. Whether going home to see family or taking a year-end vacation, crowds in airports and on roads significantly surge in November and December. Rogers Corporation was founded as a paper mill in 1832 by Dutch immigrant, Peter Rogers. Named Rogers Paper Manufacturing Company, the business was based in an old two-story powder mill in Manchester, Connecticut. It started out producing paperboard to be used in the thriving textile industry of New England. Less than a decade later, Peter Rogers’ 19-year-old son Henry inherited the business and established something that remains with Rogers to this day: a culture of innovation.
Job hunting is no easy feat. Candidates who have uploaded their resumes into online applications (and then re-typed everything from their resume into individual text fields in that same application) can agree, it takes patience and perseverance to survive the job hunting process. But when the right candidate, right position and right company align, it is a wonderful partnership for all parties involved.
